We’re exceptionally proud to sponsor once again the ‘Football Manager of the Year’ category at the Gaelic Life Ulster All-Stars Awards.

These prestigious awards highlight local sporting legends, helping to bring our community together and celebrate the achievements of local people from across Ulster. This is the second year we have sponsored the Football Manager of the Year category, one which is particularly important to the game and to us.

“Being a brilliant Bainisteoir means being a great leader, someone who not only has years of experience and a keen eye for strategy but someone who knows how to look after their team and help them reach their full potential,” explains Digney Grant Managing Director, Anthony Boden.

“Enabling others to achieve their full potential is how we look at what we do here at Digney Grant Insurance Brokers. Local businesses rely on us to ensure their futures are protected so they can focus on what’s most important.”

At Digney Grant, we’ve been serving the Newry area for over 40 years and this sponsorship is one of the many ways we get involved in our local communities. Many of the Digney Grant team have been involved in Gaelic Games in a personal capacity, including some well-known faces such as Account Executive Barry Mulrone, a former Fermanagh GAA stalwart.

“Gaelic games are part of the fabric of what makes this place so special,” added Anthony, “so we’re proud to play a part in celebrating our most exceptional teams, players and managers.”

The Football Manager of the Year category is open to public voting with the shortlist soon to be announced. Voting closes on 13th February for this category but stay tuned to our social media for updates on other categories as voting opens.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan on Friday, March 10th.

We can’t wait to play our part in the biggest celebration in the Ulster GAA calendar!
